Oakland

  • HEPPAC Casa Segura. Has showers, laundry, meals. M: 12:30- 4pm, T-Th: 10-4, F: 10-3.
  • There’s a shelter in Oakland that’s open when the weather is wad (so when it’s raining and when it’s really cold), 5559 16th St. Street, phone # 510-238-5091, it’s first come first serve (They are open from 7PM - 7AM)

Berkeley

  • Food Not Bombs @ People's Park, Haste above Telegraph. M-F, 3 pm vegan/vegetarian meal. Ebfnb.org
  • Night on the Streets Catholic Worker @ People's Park, Haste above Telegraph, Berkeley. 510-684-1892. Sun: 7:30 am breakfast. At 5:10, the meal moves to Center Street, between Milvia and MLK. 5th Sun of the month, 4 pm meal.
  • Women's Daytime Drop-in Center, 2218 Acton and Bancroft. 510-548-2884. M-F, 8 am- 4pm, closed 1st Friday of each month. Daily 8 am-10 am breakfast, 12 noon-12:30 meal
  • Trinity United Methodist Church, 2362 Bancroft Way & Dana. 510-649-4976. M-Th: 4-5 pm, sit down meal. Fri:3:30 - 4pm, 'take-out' brown bag hot meal. vegetarian option available. Thru BFHP, may change in a week- 5/2015
  • Suitcase Clinic (Youth Clinic location). St. Marks Episcopal Church, 2300 Bancroft and Ellsworth. 2nd Floor, Berkeley, 510-423-3303. Drop-in health clinic for ages 13-23, M 6-9 pm, Dinner provided.
  • Suitcase Clinic (General Clinic location). First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley, 2407 Dana St at Haste St. Berkeley, 510-269-7242. Arrive between 5:30-6pm to get an intake number for haircutting, hairwashing, footwashing, and professional services. Intake begins at 6:30pm. Dinner provided around 730pm.
  • University Lutheran Chapel, 2425 College and Haste, 510-843-6230. 4th Saturday of each month with 5 Saturdays only, 4:30.
  • Berkeley Food and Housing, 2362 Bancroft Way, M-Th, hot meal is served between 3:45 - 5 pm. Friday: hot take-out stew or soup between 3:30-4 pm.
  • Hare Krishna Temple @ 2334 Stuart. Every Sunday that starts at 7 pm. Lentil and rice, etc.
  • YEAH! Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1744 University, 510-704-9867. Ages 18-25, Nov- May 8 am- 8 pm 7 days a week. Line up begins at 7:30 pm.
  • South Berkeley Community Church, 1802 Fairview @ Ellis, 510-652-1040, 12 noon on Thursdays.
  • St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2005 Berryman & Henry, 510-526-4811. 1st and 4th Sunday, 3 pm.

North Oakland

  • Produce giveaway at the Mariposa House, 828 59th Street, Every Sunday 3-5 pm.
  • Phat Beets: FREE FARM STAND, 5709 Market St. @ Arlington Medical Center. Mondays 11 am - 1 pm.
  • Auntie Frances Self Help Hunger Program, 2 pm Tuesday at Driver Park Adeline and Stanford.

Downtown Oakland

  • DreamCatcher Youth Support Drop-in Center. 422 Jefferson & 5th, 510-839-1559. M-Th, 5:30 pm for youth 13-18.
  • First Presbyterian Church of Oakland, 27th St. and Broadway, Mondays and 1st Wednesday of the month, 11 am - 2 pm.
  • Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, 1188 12th Street & Magnolia, 510-644-6164. 1st, 3rd, (sometimes 4th) Mon. of the month: 4 pm meal. Call for schedule. Also distributes groceries every Monday, 1:30-3:30 pm.

[www.accessalameda.org] Access Alameda is a website run by the Alameda Transportation Commission that offers information on accessible transportation for seniors and people with disabilities. Basically provides a ton of information on various transportation options. Also provides applications for AC paratransit, senior subsidized taxi, and other things like that.
