Sausal Creek

ALL SERVICES ARE FREE. Comprehensive mental health services, like a mental health "urgent care," not as much of a long term place, but rather for people who need to be seen soon (medication, counseling, etc).

Sausal Creek Outpatient Stabilization Clinic (“Sausal Creek”) provides services to any adult in Alameda County who feels that they cannot wait for routine mental health outpatient care. The clinic is open to referrals and walk-ins, does NOT take appointments. Services are provided for people in acute distress or discomfort as a result of mental illness, difficulty with medications, or personal/family crisis.

Sausal Creek is a voluntary program providing a safe, respectful environment where people in crisis can receive mental health services. People can leave any time they choose. Our program is operated by Telecare Corporation under contract with Alameda County in California.

Locations and Directions

Best for people with car because it is somewhat hard to get to, but has a parking lot. In Fruitvale. Requires either 2 bus rides or a Bart then a Bus (1.5 miles from Fruitvale BART). Neighborhood somewhat unsafe.

2620 26th Ave. Oakland CA 94601

Note that it is on a very small, residential looking street.

How To Get Services

Best to come right when clinic opens for drop-in, since clients have said it can take 2-3 hours to be seen as they do not take appointments.

Referring agencies may call our main number at 510-437-2363 during business hours to speak with a clinician. We welcome walk-ins.
Drop-Ins only, likely to be seen same day, though wait may be long.
