East Bay Community Law Center


EBCLC offers free legal services in five program areas:
- Housing
- Health & Welfare
- Immigration
- Education, Defense & Justice for Youth (EDJY)
- Economic Security & Opportunity (ESO)

Information and referrals are provided in all areas of law.

EBCLC's General Clinic is part of the Economic Security and Opportunity program.
Clients are seen at General Clinic for legal issues that do not "fit inside of the box"

General Clinic is open for drop-ins Thursdays 10am-1pm.

Hours of Operation

Main Office = Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
General Clinic = Thursdays only, 10:00am-1:00pm

Languages Available

ADA Accessible. High sensitivity to issues like income, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, etc.
Spanish and English available on staff.

*Car related issues (tickets, tows, repos, fraudulent car sales/mechanics)
*Drivers license suspensions
*Citation defense- represents homeless people for infraction citations - loitering etc.

Not Offered
Not currently assisting people with issues around drinking/smoking in public.


All services are free for low income people: maximum monthly income $2,600 (roughly 50% of area median income)
