Haight Ashbury Free Clinics offers primary medical care at two locations, and is guided by the principle that "Healthcare is a Right, Not a Privilege."

Haight Ashbury Free Clinics provides compassionate, nonjudgmental care. Our supportive staff is experienced with the complex healthcare needs that can result from homelessness, poverty, and addiction, and our physicians have specialized expertise related to the treatment of infectious disease and addiction.

Monday through Friday: 8:45am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm


  • Evaluation and treatment of medical issues
  • Integrated primary care and behavioral health services
  • Follow-up of chronic and ongoing medical problems
  • Routine checkups
  • Screening for many health disorders and chronic disease management, such as diabetes (high blood sugar), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, anemia, hepatitis, and cancers
  • Women's health care services, including family planning, pregnancy test, complete obstetrical services, breast and cervical cancer screening (mammograms, Pap smears)
  • Geriatric health care services
  • Behavioral health services (individual and group therapy)
  • Psychiatric Services
  • Confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing, counseling, and treatment
  • Substance abuse services, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Tobacco cessation treatment
  • TB screenings and referrals
  • In-house phlebotomy


Sliding scale. Accepts Medi-Cal and will help clients sign up for benefits. Will not turn people away for inability to pay.
